TABC Announces Appointment of Major Paul Parent to oversee Lubbock Regional Office

LUBBOCK – The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has appointed Major Paul Parent as Regional Enforcement Supervisor for the Lubbock Regional Office. The Lubbock office covers TABC's Region 1, which includes West Texas and the Panhandle.

Parent succeeds Major Mark Menn, who now oversees TABC's San Antonio Regional Enforcement Office.

"Paul has been a proven leader and an outstanding peace officer throughout his career at TABC," said Robert Saenz, TABC Deputy Executive Director for Enforcement. "As Enforcement supervisor for Region 1, he'll oversee agents operating across a huge area of Texas. I know he's more than up to the challenge."

Parent began his career with TABC in 2005, serving first in the Houston Regional Office. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2012 and moved to the Richmond office in 2014. Parent was promoted to Lieutenant and moved to the El Paso Area Office in 2017. During his tenure at TABC, Parent has served as a counselor and instructor during TABC's New Agent Trainee Academy and was an original member of the agency's Special Response Team as well as a physical readiness coordinator.

Parent graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a degree in Political Science. He holds Master Peace Officer and Instructor Proficiency certificates from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. He's a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Texas Army National Guard.
