Alcoholic beverage industry use of e-commerce platforms

Since October 2021, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has published two draft advisories pertaining to e-commerce platforms. We are issuing this letter to address multiple inquiries we have received recently pertaining to platforms that interact between license/permit holders in different tiers.

TABC is currently evaluating the application of these platforms in light of the requirements and restrictions contained in the Alcoholic Beverage Code. Because our review of this topic is ongoing, TABC cannot currently provide guidance to industry on any particular platform.
