Statement from TABC Chairman Kevin J. Lilly

"Strength through diversity is one of the founding principles of our nation. As millions turn their eyes to Houston for the services honoring George Floyd, I think it's appropriate for all of us at the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission to reflect on the incredible outpouring of support for the Floyd family as well as the calls to action demanding that each and every person be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

I'm proud to stand with the men and women of TABC as we commit to upholding public safety while honoring the ideals of diversity and justice that every person is guaranteed. Each of us in law enforcement is a member of a community, and by working together with our neighbors, we can promote a safer and more inclusive world for our children."
