• Item 1. Amendments to Marketing Practices Advisory 014 (MPA014), Retailer Offering Price Discount to Consumer: The advisory was published in 2005 to address consumer discounts and inducements, referencing 16 Texas Administrative Code § 45.101. The draft amended advisory proposed for discussion is renamed Offering Price Discounts for Alcohol Sold to Consumers, addresses discounts offered to consumers via loyalty programs according to new TABC Rule § 45.102 (became effective in February 2022), and includes examples of quantity discounts. Additionally, the draft amended advisory maintains the statement that it is not the Commission’s intention to dictate how retailers and manufacturers price their products to a consumer. 
• Item 2. Revisions to Marketing Practices Advisory 061 (MPA061), Alcohol Delivery and Sales by Certain Retail Permit Holders: This revised advisory removes information that is no longer applicable following changes made to the law by the 87th Legislature.

TABC staff will provide a brief overview of the proposed changes during the stakeholder meeting, and participating stakeholders will have an opportunity to make verbal comments and ask questions related to the advisories on the agenda.

Draft advisory MPA014 (Item 1) will be published in the Texas Register on Dec. 16, 2022. It is TABC's intent to receive comments on both advisories for up to two weeks following the stakeholder meeting. Comments should be emailed to advisories@tabc.texas.gov. Following this comment period, the agency may update the draft advisories on the TABC website. Notice will be provided through industry email notifications.
