It’s time to conduct 2026 compliance reports

Businesses must complete a 2026 compliance report (i.e., self-inspection) for each of their TABC-licensed and permitted locations in Texas through AIMS by June 30, 2026.

This requirement only applies to businesses with a primary license or originally issued in 2024 or before. No compliance report is due in 2026 for licenses and permits originally issued in 2025 or 2026.

Completing a compliance report helps TABC confirm that your business is following the law. Failing to file a report on time could result in a visit from TABC, an administrative warning, or suspension or cancellation of your license.

How to file a compliance report

When the license holder or their designee is ready to begin a compliance report:

  • Use an Android or Apple mobile device.
  • Open the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser app. You can download either app for free from your device’s app store. Do not use any other app.
  • Log in to AIMS.
  • Select the business entity for which you’re filing a compliance report.
  • From the entity’s dashboard, click the Compliance Reporting button.
  • Select the reporting year 2026.
  • You’ll first answer questions about the business’s operations. This part of the report can be done at or away from the premises.
  • You'll then be prompted to take certain photos at the premises. You must be physically present on the premises to complete this portion of the report. AIMS will not allow you to add photos that were previously taken.

Deadline: June 30, 2026

By June 30, you must submit a compliance report for each of your licensed or permitted locations in Texas if the primary license or permit was originally issued in 2024 or before. No compliance report is due in 2026 for licenses and permits originally issued in 2025 or 2026.

Tips and help

  1. Ensure you have a compatible web browser: AIMS is only compatible with the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser apps. If your device doesn’t have either app, visit your device’s app store to download one onto your device for free before accessing AIMS.
  2. Join AIMS: If you don’t have an AIMS account already, you must first create one. License holders who are first-time AIMS users must also “claim your business” within the system. Learn how on the How To Use AIMS page.
  3. Make sure you can access your business in AIMS: License and permit holders, and those managing compliance reports for the business, should log in to AIMS to confirm they can access all licenses and permits that they hold or help manage.
  4. Assign the correct user permissions: License holders should ensure that they, or the person(s) managing compliance reports for the business, are labeled as a "Prime" or "Administrator" user. Watch this video on AIMS User Access Management.
  5. Designate others to file a compliance report on your behalf: “Prime” and “Administrator” users for a business’s AIMS account can designate other people to complete the business’s compliance report(s). Watch this video to learn how.
  6. Ensure all AIMS contact information is correct: To make sure you get notices from TABC, log in to AIMS and verify the accuracy of all contact information for your account and for each person responsible for filing compliance reports.
  7. Make sure all required signs are posted at your location before conducting a compliance report: Your business must display its license and other required signs on the premises in the proper locations. This is a common mistake that causes non-compliance. You can print your licenses/permits from your AIMS account and you can review and print other required signs from the TABC Sign Requirements page.
