Joshua Alexander
Director of Audit and Investigations
Joshua Alexander is an 18-year veteran of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission who currently serves as director of the Audit and Investigations Department. He joined TABC in 2007 as an accounts examiner in the Licensing Department before moving through the agency’s auditor ranks, where he quickly proved to be a versatile leader. Alexander has advanced through key audit and investigative roles, earning a reputation as a decisive leader with a deep understanding of regulatory operations. At one point, Alexander simultaneously oversaw the Marketing Investigations Unit while supervising the Region 4 audit team — a dual role that highlighted both his expertise and steady leadership.
Before joining TABC, Alexander held positions with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. He successfully completed the Senior Management Development Program from the University of Texas at Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. Alexander holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
