David Doggett

Deputy Chief of Field Operations Bureau

Deputy Chief David Doggett has 29 years of law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement career in 1995 as a deputy with the Tarrant County Constable’s Office. As a deputy, he worked numerous undercover assignments with the TABC Fort Worth office. He then joined TABC in 2001 as an enforcement agent. His first duty station with TABC was in the Corpus Christi office. In January 2002, he transferred to the Dallas District and later to the Denton County Outpost. In July 2012, he was promoted to sergeant and transferred to the Arlington Regional Office. While there, Doggett was promoted to lieutenant in April 2017 and major in January 2019. In June 2022, he was promoted to deputy chief of field operations for the Enforcement Division. 

Doggett graduated from Texas Christian University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, followed by a master's in 1999. He holds a Master Peace Officer’s License and Instructor Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. He has completed the FBI's Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Leadership Training Program, which includes the Supervisory Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and the Executive Leadership Institute, earning him the FBI's LEEDA Trilogy Award. Doggett is a graduate of the 58th ILEA School of Executive Leadership and is currently enrolled in the FBINAA’s Leadership Certification Program.
