TABC Launches New Software to Give Public Access to Commission Meeting Documents

AUSTIN – A new initiative by the Executive Director of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission will allow members of the public to view documents and presentations from the agency's Commission meetings.

The BoardDocs system is a new cloud-based document management program which digitizes and stores all documents related to the bimonthly commission meetings, displaying them live for viewers who log into the system while archiving documents from past meetings. Users can also view minutes and recordings of past meetings.

Members of the public may view Commission documents and presentations by visiting the agency's BoardDocs site.

"The BoardDocs system is an important part of TABC's commitment toward transparency and public participation," said A. Bentley Nettles, TABC Executive Director. "Using BoardDocs, any member of the public may listen to a recording of the Commission meeting while viewing presentations, documents and votes. Doing this electronically not only saves resources for TABC, it ensures that the public is better informed while holding the agency accountable to those we serve."
