Victor Kuykendoll

Victor Kuykendoll joined the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission in 2001 as an Enforcement agent. Before that, he was a criminal investigator with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. His first duty station with TABC was the El Paso Regional Office. He later transferred to the Belton Outpost Office and finally the Bryan Area Office before being promoted to sergeant at the Waco Regional Office in 2008. In 2012, he was promoted to lieutenant and continued to serve in Waco.

In 2014, Kuykendoll was promoted to major over Region 2 and transferred to the Arlington Regional Office. He would later transfer to Region 4 and be assigned to the Austin Regional Office in 2017. Soon after, he was asked to serve as acting chief of law enforcement and worked from TABC’s headquarters. He became the agency’s chief of law enforcement in September 2018 and was appointed to his current role in 2021.

Kuykendoll attended college at both Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and The University of Texas at El Paso. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves, where he was stationed at the Marine Safety Office in Galveston. Kuykendoll holds a Master Peace Officer License and has received several awards throughout his law enforcement career. In 1999, he received the State of Texas Valor Award for saving the life of a trapped teenager from a burning vehicle following an alcohol-related crash.
